Chapter 22
In 1973, a boy was born in Suva, Fiji.
His great-grandparents had been warriors in Kerala. They were shipped to Fiji as indentured laborers. They carried the warrior code in their blood.
The boy grew up. He climbed trees. He moved like water. He saw things he couldn't explain.
He got his head bashed in. He was told he'd never wrestle again. He came back and won championships.
His mother got cancer. She was told she would die. She chose to heal instead.
His wife was in a car accident. She was told she'd never walk. She walked.
He built Koyabell Fitness. He won eighteen awards. He created protocols that healed people.
He discovered Kalaripayattu. He discovered that everything he thought he'd invented was ancient.
He is still building. Still healing. Still speaking into existence.
Still a warrior.
Still just getting started.
WHAT YOU'VE READ
This is not just a book about a martial art.
This is a book about what they tried to take from us — and how we got it back.
This is a book about a warrior who refused to stay down.
This is a book about you.
Because you're carrying something too.
In your blood. In your body. In the movements you do instinctively.
You just don't know its name yet.
Until now.
Until us.
Until this moment.
Welcome home, warrior.
We've been waiting for you.
