Front Matter

Chapter 19

This book is the beginning.

Not the end. The beginning.

I'm writing more. I'm documenting everything. I'm putting into words what has only been in movement, in practice, in the training grounds.

This is the first book. There will be more.

Because Warrior World has so much to offer. So much to teach. So much to share.

And I'm just getting started.

WHY THIS BOOK EXISTS

I wrote this book for three reasons.

First: to give the warrior code a voice.

Kalaripayattu has been silent for too long. The oldest martial art on Earth, hidden. Suppressed. Forgotten.

I'm giving it back its name. I'm putting it in your hands.

Second: to tell my story.

Not to brag. Not to boast. To show you what's possible.

I'm a boy from Fiji. I grew up poor. I got my head bashed in. I was told I'd never walk again. I was told my wife would never walk again. I was told my mother would die of cancer.

And I'm still here. Stronger than ever. Building something that will outlast me.

If I can do it, you can do it.

Third: to call you home.

You're carrying something too. In your blood. In your body. In the movements you do instinctively, the healing you've always been drawn to.

I don't know what your ancestral art is. I don't know what your warrior code looks like.

But I know it's there.

And this book is here to help you find it.

THE WARRIOR'S PROMISE

Here's what I promise:

If you read this book — really read it, not just skim it — if you do the practices, the reflections, the training actions — if you open yourself to what's possible —

You will be changed.

Not by me. By the warrior code waking up in you.

I can't tell you exactly what that will look like. I can't tell you exactly what you'll discover.

But I can tell you this:

You're going to be more than you were.

More powerful. More healed. More connected. More alive.

More warrior.

And when that happens — when you remember what your blood already knows — you'll join us.

We'll be waiting.

We're always waiting for the next warrior to come home.
